Strength is an important part of any workout routine, but it's especially important for runners to maintain a strong core and glutes to promote stronger running and help minimize the risk for injury. Join local running coach and personal trainer Tammy Whyte of TW Training and Wellness for a 3 mile fun run + 15 minute strength session at New Balance DC. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided after the strength workout. New Balance will also give 20% off in-store purchases to anyone who attends, so you can treat yourself to some new shoes or apparel as you get ready for summer running.
The run will start and end at New Balance DC. There is a safe place to store your belongings while you're running. There is some street parking available, along with parking garages nearby. The Friendship Heights metro is a block away. The run will start shortly after 6:45pm, so please try to arrive a few minutes early to sign in and stash your belongings. All running levels are welcome - no one will be left behind! :)
